Flowers for a Tea occasion
Season: September
By Grand Master Fuden-an Sojitsu
Flower: Winter chrysanthemum and 'kisasage'.
Vase: Old bronze vase in the shape of an ogre with a handle.
The kisasage represents the November landscape characterized by a cold and dry wind. The partial presence of blue and yellow amongst the red in the chrysanthemum’s leaves provides a sense of winter. It is very important to arrange the leaves of this flower with skill.
